Wilpattu National Park Safari
Explore Wilpattu, Sri Lanka's largest and oldest national park, on a jeep safari. Its trails wind between dozens of natural lakes called villus, home to leopards, sloth bears, elephants, deer and a huge variety of birds, with far fewer vehicles than Yala.
Good to Know
- Full-day and half-day safaris are available.
- Usually done on the drive between Negombo and Anuradhapura.
- Bring binoculars for birds and distant leopards.
Best Time to Go
February to October is the best time, with the dry months from May to September offering the most sightings.
