Travel inland from Galle to Kandy, arriving in the afternoon with time for the lake or a city viewpoint. Day two is a full day in Kandy: the Royal Botanic Gardens at Peradeniya, the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, lunch in town and a cultural or craft stop or free time. On day three, enjoy breakfast before the tour ends in Kandy.
