Colombo to Galle & Yala Wildlife Excursion

Start with a scenic drive along the southern coast to explore Galle Fort, its old streets, ramparts and lighthouse. After lunch in Galle, continue to Tissamaharama near Yala for dinner and an overnight stay. Early the next morning, head into Yala National Park on a jeep safari in search of leopards, elephants and birdlife, before the package ends in the Yala area.

Route: Colombo → Galle → Tissamaharama / Yala

The package ends in the Yala area. A return to Colombo can be arranged separately but makes the journey much longer. Wildlife sightings are not guaranteed, and park access and safari arrangements are confirmed before booking.

Colombo to Galle Fort & Yala

  • 6:30 AM Pick-up in Colombo and travel along the southern coast.
  • Morning Optional stop near Kosgoda, subject to the facility being open to visitors.
  • Late morning Explore Galle Fort, its historic streets, ramparts and lighthouse area.
  • 12:30 PM Lunch in Galle.
  • 2:00 PM Depart for the Yala/Tissamaharama area.
  • Evening Check in, dinner and overnight stay.

Yala Safari

  • Early morning Join a pre-booked jeep safari at Yala National Park, subject to park hours and availability.
  • Late morning Breakfast or lunch, depending on accommodation and safari timing.
